Cemetery Safety Testing
The local parish council intends to carry out Safety Checks on all memorials within the Top Cemetery as from the beginning of May 2009.
All public entering the cemetery must take care and only enter in order to visit a family grave. Children should enter only when accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for their welfare.
The Council has a duty of care to the Public and will carry out testing for safety reasons.
Any memorial that fails the test will be tagged and care must be taken near these memorials.
If you find your memorial has been tagged contact the Clerk, Mrs Jill Demirtges, for further information.
